More than 30-40 years ago Randolph Algera restored in the Stadhouderlijk Hof in Leeuwarden. Now he may conserve his own restoration. The wood, among other things, had shrinkage cracks. Some marble imitation photos show the situation before the current restoration, after 32 years of shrinkage seams, mechanical damage and detachment of the wall decoration due to moisture problems. The 'stripes' show an interim unprofessional 'restoration'. The shrinkage seam was closed and touched up in the contaminated substrate with the wrong products. Good restoration however requires sound expertise and experience. The staircase is our next project.
