Epitaph Van Haren family St- Annaparochie

Restoration, forced to follow in the footsteps of the previous editor.

In the church where Rembrandt van Rijn married his Saskia in the 17th century, we walk over the gravestones where he once walked. We have been working on the restoration of an epitaph from the Van Haren family. The epitaph was once treated a bit too enthusiastically with colors and layers of plastic paint. Unfortunately, we cannot change that. The gold leaf letters fell off. We did restore it, but in the footsteps of our predecessor, because the black prints were persistently left behind. We can only follow them and take over. The sign now looks nice and readable again. Made with a beautiful egg shine on the letters in gold leaf. Ready for the future.
